What is an excess?

An excess is the amount deducted from the claim payment, and it applies to each person for each incident and each section of cover you claim under.  The excesses are listed on your policy schedule.

You can choose to waive the excess on your travel insurance policy for a small additional premium when you buy – making it easier to make smaller claims. Just add our ‘excess waiver’ option when you get a quote online.
